Water bottles can be filled at the Maroon Bells Welcome Center, at Aspen Highlands, where you will board the shuttle.

LIMITED RESTROOM FACILITIES AT MAROON BELLS
Restroom facilities at the Maroon Bells trailhead are extremely limited. Please plan ahead and use the restrooms at the Maroon Bells Welcome Center, at Aspen Highlands. If you need to use the facilities at the trailhead, please be patient and respectful, lines may form during busy times. For the protection of this pristine environment, please do not use the wilderness as a restroom.

Maroon Bells

The shuttle bus runs from the Maroon Bells Welcome Center, located at Aspen Highlands Ski Area, and will drop you off at the Maroon Lake Trailhead, about a 15 minute ride in each direction.

Paid parking is available at the the Maroon Bells Welcome Center, where you can park to access the shuttle. No reservation is needed for this parking garage, you will pay to park on arrival.

Public transportation to and from the Maroon Bells Welcome Center (located at Aspen Highlands) is available and connects with locations throughout Aspen, Snowmass, and other nearby areas. For schedules and maps, please visit www.RFTA.com.

Choose one of the following reservation options that best suits your needs.

Round Trip Shuttle

You will choose your departure time at the time of booking, and the return shuttles are first come first served. The last shuttle running from the Maroon Lake Trailhead to the Maroon Bells Welcome Center is 5:00 PM. If backpacking, or hiking to crested butte, you can use the return portion of your ticket several days later if needed.

One-Way Return Only Shuttle

This ticket is intended for those who started their hike from a different trailhead, such as those hiking from Crested Butte, those who started the 4 pass loop from a different location, or those who were dropped off before the buses starting running. The last shuttle running from the Maroon Lake Trailhead to The Maroon Bells Welcome Center, located at Aspen Highlands Ski Area, is 5:00 PM.

Day-of Shuttle Ticket

This ticket is for those who are unable to secure an advanced reservation shuttle departure time. Those with Day-of Shuttle Tickets will board the bus first come, first serve. Typical wait times are generally 15 to 30 minutes in the standby line. The shuttle runs to Maroon Bells between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM, with the last bus coming back down at 5:00 PM.
