NO DRINKING WATER AVAILABLE AT MAROON BELLS
Water bottles can be filled at the Maroon Bells Welcome Center, at Aspen Highlands, before driving to the trailhead.

LIMITED RESTROOM FACILITIES AT MAROON BELLS
Restroom facilities at the Maroon Bells trailhead are extremely limited. Please plan ahead and use the restrooms at the Maroon Bells Welcome Center, at Aspen Highlands. If you need to use the facilities at the trailhead, please be patient and respectful, lines may form during busy times. For the protection of this pristine environment, please do not use the wilderness as a restroom.

Maroon Bells

To protect the resource and ensure a quality experience, the road to the Maroon Bells Scenic Area is closed to inbound private vehicles from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM between May 23rd and October 19th. During this time, visitors with parking reservations must arrive either before 8:00 AM or after 5:00 PM. However, you can still depart the area during this time.

Choose one of the following reservation options that best suits your needs.

Day Visit - Trailhead Parking

Recommended for extended hikes or early morning visits.

Arrive Before 8:00 AM
Depart Before 4:30 PM

Per Vehicle:   $10

(No cost for season pass holders, reservation still required.)

Evening - Trailhead Parking

Arrive After 5:00 PM
Depart Before Midnight

Per Vehicle:   $10

(No cost for season pass holders, reservation still required.)

Midnight to Midnight - Trailhead Parking

Recommended for those planning extended hikes, such as those climbing one of the 14ers.

2 Nights - Trailhead Parking

Three days, two nights, recommended for those who are backpacking or hiking to Crested Butte.
